How to commission your memoir

   
 

The process of commissioning a memoir is as follows:

Step One
Following your initial enquiry, we will conduct a phone interview with you to discuss your ideas for your memoir in order to establish the format that is most suitable for your story.

Step Two
We will then send you a questionnaire. This allows us to establish an outline of your story and, in a follow-up second phone interview, helps us to identify the most interesting and important areas of your life story.

Step Three
We visit you in your own home for interview sessions of three hours over an agreed period of time, during hours that are convenient to you. Both evening and weekend sessions are available. During the last session we work with you to source photographs for the book.

Step Four
Your story is then written into a first draft for your approval. After your book is designed you will be asked to approve the final proofs before your book goes to press.

Step Five
Your book will arrive bound, in 25 hardback copies.


NB

Please note that we ask you to sign a basic publishing contract and pay a deposit of 30% on commission. A further 50% of the balance is due when proofs are approved. The final 20% is required on delivery.
